Winter may be the coldest time of the year, where all you want to do is snuggle up on the couch and watch a good movie, but last Saturday night this was all thrown out the window, because here at Baxter Barn, we hosted potential and current brides at our venue, for a pop up Reception! The guests swapped blankets for warm winter coats, take out for a cocktail experience, slippers for boots and a movie for live music.
We decided to put on the event, so that couples could try before they buy. They got the opportunity to come and see what having your wedding at Baxter Barn is like, and what better way to decide whether a venue is right for you, then to try it out first! Pauline and Wayne from Woops a daisy floristry decked the place out with flowers, lights and even had a mock up bridal bouquet and flower crowns for the girls (or boys!) to have a look at.
The night started with a casual walk around the property, before coming into the barn and feasting on the new antipasto grazing table (now available) filled with dried fruits, nuts, cheese, bread, meat, fresh fruit and grilled vegetables. Imagine having your guests walk into this at your wedding!
We followed this with the full cocktail experience, while Jimmy entertained the guests and performed live. The first 2 hours of roaming canapes were served by our amazing wait staff, which was then, followed by the BBQ hour, where the chef came out and cooked in front of the guests. Flame tricks warmed up the night, while food aromas filled the air.

Come and relax by the beautiful heritage listed Barn and lake, surrounded by our peaceful, nature infused acreage, with sweeping willows, large gum trees and endless lawns... It has been a chilly winter, with spring just around the corner why not kick start your weekends after a long hard week at work and or school with some of the best Fish and Chips on the block!

Every course was delicious and service warm, professional and friendly as always. And you guys are always great with Phoebe who thinks she owns Sages and wants to be involved in everything.
As I told my brother David about the property and our partnership - it's his first time at Sages - he was amazed.
